FDOT has announced a major detour on southbound U.S. 17-92 between Winter Park and Maitland.
Closure of all southbound lanes of 17-92 at the Maitland and Winter Park border under the overhead railroad bridge near Enzian Theatre [GMap] was scheduled to begin Thursday, January 21 but has since been delayed due to a forecast of poor weather. An updated schedule will soon be released.
The closures are expected to last for a three-day weekend and a subsequent two-day weekend to remove any remaining rubble and repave the roadway.
There will be detour route signage placed along the route during construction.
