It’s that time of year for Rollins College students, staff, and alumni … it’s Fox Day!
Once a year, a 300 pound fox statue suddenly appears in the middle of the Rollins campus, announcing that all classes that day have been cancelled. Traditionally the president releases the fox on a day that is “too pretty to be inside” and the rest is chaos.
A day-long picnic is held on the lawn and buses fill with freedom-drunk students on the way to the beach.
The event isn’t just for current Rollins-goers either. Alumni all around the world often take the day off as well.
