Rollins College professor Dr. Julian Chambliss is hosting a community talk on April 26 to lead residents in a discussion about the recent surge in development in West Winter Park.
Chambliss is the coordinator of the Africa and African-American Studies Program at Rollins College, and a leading expert on urban history and culture. Dr. Julian Chambliss will be discussing the current state of development in Hannibal Square and how the community can reclaim its cultural heritage through placemaking.
The program is presented by the Casa Feliz Parlor Series, the Winter Park History Museum Speaker Series and the Hannibal Square Heritage Center, a program of Crealdé School of Art.
The event begins at 7 p.m. at the Winter Park Community Center [GMap], which will be followed by a reception across the street at the Hannibal Square Heritage Center.
