Soft-spoken local permaculture expert and all-around green thumb, Marabou Thomas (Website), has just released another great primer on how to grow a food forest at your home.

Permaculture is an agricultural (and some would argue social) practice that takes its cues from natural ecosystems. The word permaculture actually means to “permanent agriculture” referring to a way of growing food in a sustainable and regenerative way that improves the earth rather than takes from it.

Thomas is an Orlando resident and has applied the lessons of permaculture to his own home. Check out the video below to get a feel for how abundant your lawn can become once you rip up the sod.
