This Saturday, downtown Tampa’s North Boulevard is going to be transformed into a giant slip-and-slide.

Slide the City (Website) is a touring family friendly slip-and-slide pop-up event that installs 1000 feet of water slide on city streets around the country. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own water guns, water buckets, floaties and toys.

The Tampa event starts at 9 a.m. this Saturday, May 14 and costs $20-$45. The three blocks around the slide will be hosting a large block party, so be sure to bring a towel. More details on the event are available on Facebook, HERE.

With summer already breathing down our necks, we’d love to see someone #bringtoorlando this fun concept. (Insider Tip – partner with a neighborhood association so you don’t have to pay to close the street).

  1. Church at from Osceola to Summerlin has a nice downhill. Not sure if it’s 300 yards, but it would still make for a fun spot

  2. Sligh Boulevard makes the most sense, considering how you spell the street name and the fact that it’s in front of Lucy Bleuz 🙂
