Lake Como Elementary school will be torn down in June, 2016, to make way for a new K-8 school. We released the designs for the new school, HERE.

The nearby Lake Como residents will be hosting a Farewell Lake Como party on Saturday, May 21 with food trucks, carnival games, and other activities. Attendees will also be able to buy t-shirts and legacy bricks that will be installed at the new school.

Organizers ask that you bring your own chairs.

If you’d like to contribute to the party, visit the GoFundMe page, HERE.

  1. Is there a way to obtain the schools history? Returned home after 30 years to find it under demolition. Would love a link to previous yearbooks. Attended ’78-’85. Appreciate any help. Mrs. Woodley, Mrs. Sullivan, Mrs. Ruth in kindergarten. Mrs. Easter. Were among my teachers.

    1. A good resource for that would be the Downtown Library branch or the Orange County History Center!
