Orlando City Soccer has filed paperwork with the Historic Preservation Board to renovate the Teele Building on the corner of Church Street and Gertrude’s Walk, kitty-corner from Ferg’s Depot [GMap].
The original four storefronts of the over 6,000 SF Teele building were altered over time to suit the needs of various tenants, and was once the home of Bob Snow’s bar, Phineas Phoggs. According to the paperwork filed, the new applicant is proposing to remove the non-original canopy and replace it with a canopy and support structure that is flat and more similar to the canopy on the adjacent building to the west.
As seen in the rendering below, complete with pride-purple text boxes, the building is adorned with an Orlando City lion logo.
