Ricky Ly, the man behind Tasty Chomps (Website) and the Orlando Foodie Forum (Facebook), is hosting an art event on Sunday, June 12, from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. in the Milk District. The goal of the night is to encourage civic participation in social issues, through art.
The Art x Social Change Night will feature art of all disciplines (visual, music, song, spoken word), poetry, theater, dance, graphic, etc., that has to do with the theme of social issues; from environmental justice, to women’s rights, equality, civil rights, and education.
Performances will be held at Spacebar with vendors and artist displays in the Milk District parking lots. Partial proceeds will benefit ArtReach Orlando (Facebook | Website), a local arts organization that provides free art programming to children in Orange County.
Deadline for entries is Sunday, June 5th Wednesday, June 8 at midnight.
