We broke the news of Mia Supermarket replacing the former Colonialtown Winn-Dixie back in December, 2015, HERE. The Asian supermarket has finally opened in the Coytown Shopping Center [GMap].

Mia Supermarket has a wide variety of affordable seafood and produce as well as a cornucopia of teas, dried goods, and cookware.

An independent bake shop is also located in the supermarket with savories and sweets like garlic hot dog buns, custard buns, and coconut cream bread.

The store is open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Sunday.

  1. Well we apologize Karen. We really are big fans of the store and will be shopping their often.

  2. To American consumers it is not exciting. More like they find it “weird”. Which brings negative connotation to items that is typically “normal” in an Asian grocery store.

  3. I’m sorry Karen, I fail to see how focusing on items that we find exciting in the store is exploitation … can you explain? We were trying to promote the great things that are inside the store.

  4. Bungalower, why must you focus on the unique items rather than just keeping your description about how it is now open. It is so rude how you exploit this in your description.

  5. Do they have tubs of green tea ice cream? I’ve been to every Asian grocer in orlando (well on mills anyway) and can’t find it!! I can only find the Popsicles or that weird mochi stuff. Anybody know where I can actually find ice “cream”? Thanks!!

  6. Cindy Rossi Tamblyn this is where the old winn-dixie on 50/bumby was where you “sat on the wall at 5 years old”
