According to a recent report by the Orlando Sentinel, the brewery that is eyeing up the former downtown Fiat dealership, will also have a pizzeria aspect.

The report, by Kyle Arnold, revealed that the concept will be a full-service pizza restaurant and brewery called Pan American Brewery and Pizza Co.

The concept still has a number of permitting issues to get through before it is green-lit.

  1. A grocer would be great, or even a general store. We wrote about something like that for the North Quarter in an I Wish This Was column.

  2. We used those words in place of “idea.” We’re not pushing any agenda here. Sorry for any confusion

  3. I hope at least they have unique specialty pizzas and stellar vegetarian/vegan options.

  4. “will also have a pizzeria aspect.

Using words like aspect and concept doesn’t make it a better idea. This sums up everything wrong with Downtown the last decade.

  5. Amanda Marie – Downtown definitely needs MORE retail. That space used to be several cool alternative storefronts…then Glenda Hood got elected. U0001f614
I TOTALLY agree about the grocery. Could be a luncheon bodega with buffet tables like in NYC and LA…
    LAND OFFICE business volume.

  6. Boutiques are useless in my opinion, but a grocery store right there would be excellent.

  7. I am happy for the brewery! But… oh…*more* pizza downtown? We have over a dozen pizza places in a 2 mile radius.

  8. Stupid. So OVER the “craft beer” fad. This city already has PLENTY of “breweries”. Too many pizzerias downtown already. This enterprise will fail inside of a year.
Too bad it’s not going to be a boutique or GROCERY STORE.

  9. That was a joke. There’s too many places to get drunk and not enough art and culture.

  10. I’m just glad someone will fill the shortage of breweries in Orlando. I can’t seem to ever find a place to drink downtown…………..
