The latest Executive Director of the Ivanhoe Village Main Street, Mindi Rackliff, has handed in her resignation to the Orlando Main Street office, leaving a position open at one of the most struggling Main Street programs in the City.

The new Executive Director will have their hands full trying to rebuild the organization that represents one of the most popular neighborhoods in the city. The Advisory Committees and Board of Directors are currently running on skeleton crews so they could definitely use some new energy.

  1. The way Main Streets are currently set up makes it difficult to pay more. They are independent non-profits, that operate outside of City funding. They’re responsible for fundraising the bulk of their income and budget.

  2. They could get a better and more experienced person if they paid a salary enough to actually live in the Main Street area they would be serving. The salary should be double that.
