NOT AN OFFICIAL RENDERING OF THE NEW WINTER PARK LOCATION

The request of Oppidan Holdings LLC for a Conditional Use approval to build a one-story hardware retail store at the former Eat More Produce site in Winter Park [GMap] has been approved, with conditions. We are unaware of what those conditions are, at this moment.

The Orchard Supply Hardware (Website) store is the first Orlando-area location for the Lowe’s-owned chain and will occupy over 32,000 SF of retail space with an adjoined open-air 2,678 SF for garden supplies.

Oppidan is also securing the nearby Antique Center property for the development.

  1. We live nearby, I would rather individual small businesses fill the space instead of a giant retail store which comes with traffic, noise, and the franchise following.

  2. Why? It’s a vacant lot currently, and the empty, run down building is an eyesore. This new business will also bring jobs to the Winter Park area.
