UPDATE: It was just announced (10/18/15) that Cask and Larder will be moving to the Orlando International Airport, to make room for the Ravenous Pig. The brewery will remain in the current building, but the restaurant will serve its last meal on October 30.
The owners of the Ravenous Pig (Website), James and Julie Petrakis, have announced their intention to move their flagship restaurant just a few blocks from its current Orange Avenue location in Winter Park. The current plan, according to the Petraki (that’s what we call them), is to move the gastropub next door to its sister properties, Cask & Larder (Website) and Swine & Sons (Website) to create a “food hub.”
No specific date is scheduled for The Ravenous Pig move, but its current lease at its Orange Avenue location ends in April 2018.
The following was stated by James Petrakis in a press release:
Michael Wenrich Architects is designing several changes to the property, including a new entrance on Pennsylvania Avenue and a walkway connecting Cask & Larder to Swine & Sons. To make way for the eventual relocation of the Ravenous Pig, the overall footprint of the existing Cask & Larder will not change but, at some point, there will be significant interior remodeling, under the direction of restaurant design firm Anna Schmidt Interior Design.
The Petrakises are also partners/consultants in a pair of much-anticipated restaurants that will open in the near future – DoveCote, in downtown Orlando, and a Cask & Larder location at Orlando International Airport.
