As Florida voters await the November election to decide on legalizing the cultivation, production, and dispensing of medical cannabis, the Orlando City Council has voted to impose a temporary moratorium on the opening of “certain new cannabis dispensing facilities.” The moratorium is scheduled to expire on January 1, 2017.
Council also voted that planning officials must recommend permanent land development regulations for cannabis dispensing facilities by December 1, 2016.
The moratorium is meant to give the City time to research the “impacts of cannabis dispensing facilities …”

Agreed. At least we have lesser sentences in the last few months as progress. There is a matter of time I just keep repeating.
Sounds to me like they are getting ready for the industry to open up. It darn well should be, because we can’t live in the hypocrisy anymore.
Medical Marijuana in Florida is a sham. VERY few will be allowed to access it. Very few counties and municipalities will allow the dispensaries.
