The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority is accepting design applications from artists to develop a new design for the flooring for four areas in the North Terminal Landside Building. The flooring areas include the four main entrances to the Hyatt Atrium and the Great Hall and are meant to serve as “welcome areas” for airport guests.

Criteria for the design include:

  1. “Welcome Areas” theme, reflecting on the “Orlando Experience.”
  2. Epoxy Terrazzo thin set system

The budget for the specialty flooring is $600,000 and a stipend of $1,000 for each shortlisted artist, to be paid after presentation at Step 2. The artist fee will be negotiated after selection. The art will be installed by a contractor selected by GOAA.

  1. I believe today is the last day to submit written questions if the call itself is not clear to you.

  2. 1) I am not qualified for this, but want to do it anyways.
    2) Now I am on some kind of list for downloading these plans of the airport.
