According to the City of Orlando, FDOT will be closing Virginia Drive  from Alden Road to Orange Avenue between 9 p.m. August 5 and 3 a.m. August 8.

The closure is meant to give FDOT/SunRail the time they need to reconstruct the railroad crossing at that intersection. Traffic is expected to resume normal patterns that Monday morning.

The City is hosting the first of a series of public meetings on the upcoming Virginia Drive Corridor Study on August 1 at 6:30 p.m. at Leu Gardens. More on that HERE.
