GDC Properties (Website) has filed paperwork with the City of Orlando to place a 10-story, 100+ room hotel at 500 S. Magnolia Avenue, just across the street from the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center [GMap].

The infill project, according to the submitted designs, is currently being called Magnolia Hotel, likely due to the adjacent street, yet that is likely to change. There are also plans to have some sort of leased restaurant feature as well, as can be seen on the second floor of the building, with a terrace overlooking the Seneff Arts Plaza.

You may recognize GDC’s name as they are also behind the Aloft Orlando Downtown and NORA developments.

The following designs were created by Atlanta-based Hogan Campis Architecture (Website).
