Local indie publisher Burrow Press (Facebook | Website) is launching an anthology of stories by members of the local LGBTQ+ community. The collection will focus on creative nonfiction.

The expected release of the project is Summer 2017.

See below for the official Call for Submissions.

“In the wake of the worst mass shooting in history, the city of Orlando, Florida stood unified, strong and proud. Orlando natives and transplants alike, of every skin color, creed, culture, orientation, background, and identity declared, “We are #OneOrlando. We are #OrlandoUnited.” The literary manifestation of this celebration of unity through diversity lies in the pages of this collection of true stories told by the people who know their Orlando best—beyond the stereotypical palm trees and mouse ears—to revel in the richness of this city’s cultural contributions, the kaleidoscope of its neighborhoods, and the loveliness of its inhabitants; all of which truly make this The City Beautiful.

All contributors will be given contributor copies and will be able to buy additional copies at a discounted rate. All profits from this collection will be donated to the Zebra Coalition.

Submissions are due to [email protected] by 11:59pm Eastern Time on Friday, September 30th, 2016.
