The Orange Blossom Trail Development Board or ‘OBTDB” (Facebook | Website) has been awarded a $500,000 grant from the State of Florida’s Department of Economic Opportunity. The grand will fund a series of plans for an eight-mile segment of the Orange Blossom Trail Corridor, from Colonial Drive to SR-528.

GAI-CSG has been selected to develop the Master Plan, and will be working with the City of Orlando and Orange County to carry out the project.

A steering committee, under the guidance of the OBTDB, will create a CRA Plan update, a Safe Neighborhood Plan update for target areas along OBT, and a Master Plan for the entire corridor. The project will kick-off on October 12, at 6 p.m. at the Camping World Stadium’s Varsity Club. See the Upcoming Events graphic below for a timeline.

The first phoase of the project will be a series of neighborhood meetings at five locations along the corridor, detailed in the map above. Each meeting will involve a walking audit of the given section of OBT, where attendees can participate in a group exercise about the challenges and opportunities in each area.
