According to a job posting on Craigslist, HERE, an unnamed local non-profit is looking for a responsible person to take on a full-time, live-in position at their unnamed Central Florida facility.

The job includes room and board, and “other extras” as well as a “modest salary.”

The rest of the job posting reads as follows:

“MUST BE PHYSICALLY FIT as there is a great deal of physical activity with the job both indoors and outdoors year round.

For the right individual, this is an uncommon opportunity to work hands on with many rare species, as well as foster interest in and be a part of preserving our natural world.

Candidate must have an abiding interest in animals and conservation, have a valid drivers license and be willing to work outdoors. They should also be able to take and understand direction well. Previous animal experience is preferred. Manual skills and experience with tool use are essential.

Dependability, honesty, strong work ethic and self-motivation are a must.

This position is not suitable for someone with children; it is most appropriate for a single individual.

Located in a secluded area in central Florida. CANDIDATE MUST BE BE ABLE TO HANDLE THE ISOLATION OF A VERY RURAL SETTING.

The Organization’s primary focus is herpetofauna (reptiles and amphibians) and related research.”
