“Hey Bungalower, just noticed some construction happening at the old Frank & Steins spot in Winter Park. Do you know what’s going in there? Is it another brew pub/restaurant?” – Bungalower reader
According to plans submitted to the City of Winter Park, Rollins College is transforming the former home of Frank and Steins into a campus bookstore. An added surprise to the new Rollins College Bookstore is the addition of a small, 30-seat cafe inside the bookstore, operated by Einstein’s Bros Bagels (Website). The shop will sell Rollins clothing and gear. Parking will be in front of the building and off Fairbanks. It will be open to the public.
The building is located at 200 W Fairbanks Ave [GMap].
The current bookstore building will be transformed into a special events space.
RIP Shipyard
Well that sucks
Nicholas Lopez a bookstore…lol.
This is a good idea. The parking lot will be adequate now and there will be more diversity in the type of businesses around there.
Seems like a better use. No restaurant there has ever lasted.
