Verde Cantina (Website) closed suddenly on Monday, November 7 after being open for only eleven months in the former Tijuana Flats space in Thornton Park [Gmap].
We’ve reached out to the owners for the reason behind the closure and to hear what the plans for their next steps are.
I wish I could say I’m sad to see it go, but the food was not very good and the service was horrendous. Gave it 4 tries and each was progressively worse than the time before. I hope another Mexican (OR GREEK!) place goes in there. I miss Tijuana Flats.
I was excited for a non-chain and I love Mexican. But the food was disappointing and the prices were pretty high. Hate seeing businesses fail though.
That building just needs to finally sign a lease with Chipotle Mexican Grill
