Florida Blue Battle Of The Bands
Get ready for crowd-pleasing dance teams, high-stepping drum majors, precision drumlines and roaring brass sections from the top high school marching bands in the country and featured performances by the Marching Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman University and the Marching 100 of Florida A&M University.
Latinx/Caribbean Artist Benefit Show
Join us for a night of celebration of Latinx/Caribbean culture and identities through artwork and performances. All proceeds earned at the event will benefit ICW Chile, an organization run by and for women and youth affected by HIV/AIDS in Chile. Entrance is free although a small donation at the door is encouraged! Items up for raffle include gift cards from local business as well as handmade goods from local artists.

Niner Demo!
Huge news! Mark your calendars! The Niner Demo Truck is making its way to Retro City Cycles! Take one of their awesome new bikes out to the Orlando Mountain Bike Park… and stay after the ride for our annual Jingle Eve neighborhood holiday party. Stay tuned for the list of demo bikes.
Cannabis Career Institute workshop
CCI President and Founder Robert F. Calkin will be leading the class. He has created more cannabis brands than anyone in the industry. A top Florida attorney will on hand to cover federal and state law. Cannabis business expert Doug Porter will be teaching cultivation, budtending and strain selection.
Orlando’s Biggest Pub Crawl
The Foundation for Florida Environmental Protection (FFEP) is hosting Orlando’s Biggest Pub Crawl. Admission to the event will include access to over 60 bars in Downtown Orlando, Mills 50 District, Thornton Park, Ivanhoe Village and Audubon Park.
Tom & Dan Bad at Business Beer Fest 2016
This is a FREE to the public Beer-Fest! Free Samples, Free Admission, Free Live Entertainment! The beer is served from 2pm-4pm, but you can get there early to get a wristband and a sample cup. You must show your VALID I.D. to get a sample cup. (over 21) Most people start to arrive about noon and get in line, relax and enjoy.
Write-In
Join us for quiet writing time at your library. Bring a laptop or notebook and write alongside other local writers. National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo, is an event that encourages authors to write 50,000 words in November. Learn more at nanowrimo.org. All writers are welcome; you don’t have to be participating in NaNoWriMo to attend. Attendance isn’t required for the duration of the event; stop in anytime.

Jack Kazanzas Star Installation
PHOTO VIA ORLANDO MAGAZINE The tradition of raising the 600-pound golden star began when two competing department stores, Ivey’s on the east of Orange Avenue and Dickson & Ives on the west, joined together in 1955 to hang the historic Christmas star between the two stores. The raising of the star marks the start of the holiday season in the City of Orlando.
