The City of Orlando will be expanding the dog park at Lake Druid Park, which is located in Orlando’s Coytown neighborhood between Bumby Avenue and the Fashion Square Mall [Gmap].
The park already has a 1,500 square-foot fenced-in dog run, primarily used for small dogs. The project plans below include the expansion of the existing dog run into a full-fledged dog park which will include separate areas for small and large dogs, a new sand volleyball court, and an additional drinking fountain/hydration station to serve the bike park/dog park end of the site.

We previously wrote about the bike park expansion HERE.
The dog park includes shade trees, benches, waste receptacles, doggie-bag dispensers, dog drinking fountains, fire hydrants, re-purposed storm pipes for dog agility activities, and an entrance with double gates, benches, and a dog wash station.
The park is expected to be completed early 2017.
