MURAL WORK BY LAPIZTOLA

UPDATE: Click HERE to hear more information on the upcoming soft openings on our Instagram page.

Hunger Street Tacos (Facebook) is set to soft open at the beginning of next week (January 16 or 17), short of any catastrophic events, knock on wood.

Hunger Street owner, Joseph Creech, was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and has tipped his chef’s hat to his nation of birth all throughout the restaurant. The food and the art are both authentically Mexican, even the custom murals were created by the Oaxacan street artist collective, Lapiztola (Facebook Website), more on that HERE.

Creech told us that he’s looking forward to hosting some ambitious events in the coming year, including a blockbuster Dia de los Muertos event with battling luchadors. Masks and all.

For those of you who can’t wait a week for their food, HST will also be hosting a two-day pop-up at East End Market on Thursday and Saturday this week to test their new menu items.
