When we last reported on Airbnb in November of last year, HERE, it was regarding the policies the City of Orlando was looking to put into place to govern Short Term Rentals. A “Short Term Rental” is a lease agreement for residential properties that last under 30 days.

According to a City-led census, there were over 300 Short Term Rentals listed in City-limits, mostly in the Traditional City boundaries. Yet, according to representatives from Airdna (Website), a research firm that specializes in Airbnb data, that number is quite a bit higher. Airdna collects reservation data to build metrics on Airbnb demand, and provided us with the following data which states the current number of active listings being almost 3,000.
