According to a Conditional Use Permit application, Hillcrest Elementary School will be undergoing some massive renovation this year.
Hillcrest Elementary is a K-5 school located in Lake Eola Heights at 1010 E. Concord St. [GMap]. The existing school serves 420 students but following the planned renovation, will be able to serve 500. The current building will remain but they are seeking to construct additional connector buildings.
The school is also planning to add a two-story parking structure.
This is a working story. We are unsure of when they will break ground on this project if approved by the City.
