Local artist Nicki Drumb was awarded an Awesome Grant to fund her Art is Moving installation concept.
The Awesome Foundation Orlando is a local chapter comprised of ten local philanthropists that each throw $100 into a pot each month, to be awarded to the most awesome idea pitched to them. The winner then receives $1000 cash to fund their project. Click HERE to see a list of past Awesome Grant recipients.
Drumb will be rotating the work of Orlando-area artists on a SunRail passenger coach, overlaid on the train cabin windows and on two interior partitions on the mid-level deck. The work will be switched out approximately every six months, with the first exhibit scheduled to be installed on March 10, just in time for the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival.
All art must be submitted by noon on Friday, February 24.
