Orlando Venues is requesting approval from the City of Orlando for funds to purchase upgrades for their existing Wi-Fi infrastructure.

The Venues are asking for $121,371.55 from the City to purchase upgrades which will provide full coverage to the Amway seating bowl.

They are pitching to use AmpThink, LLC from Texas as the vendor, as they are the company that installed the original grid during construction. AmpThink also provides continuing maintenance for the service as well.

The pitch is expected to pass the upcoming February 22 City Council meeting and was authorized by David Billingsley, the Chief Procurement Officer, to move forward, subject to review by the City Attorney’s Office.
