The Fisher Beacon Project is an effort being spearheaded by MKR City, a group that connects makers and creatives in Detroit, that has resulted in the creation of a pop-up halfpipe in the Fisher Building in Detroit.

The Fisher Halfpipe is bringing a cross-section of Detroiters together as part of a short-lived installation meant to activate activate a beautiful historic building. The event will last from April 3-6.

We would love to see something like this happen in spaces like the Bank of America Building lobby, or the currently vacant State Bank of Orlando and Trust Company building at 1 North Orange Avenue in Downtown Orlando.
