UPDATE: THE ORLANDO UNITED DAY WEBSITE SEEMS TO BE EXPERIENCING SOME DIFFICULTIES. 

The city of Orlando and the owners of Pulse Nightclub are preparing for to mark the one-year anniversary of the tragedy with the declaration of “Orlando United Day – A Day of Love and Kindness” on June 12, 2017.

The day will feature a variety of events across the region, including two community gatherings at the Pulse site on South Orange Avenue that will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and another from 10 p.m. to midnight.

Road closures are being planned on June 12 to include the southbound right lane of South Orange Avenue from West Kaley Street to West Esther Street. West Esther Street will also be closed from South Orange Avenue to South Lucerne Terrace. Local traffic will be allowed access to the street.

The One Orlando Alliance is working on a comprehensive list of ways to participate in “Acts of Love and Kindness” on June 12.
