Gainesville-based artist Coco Fusco, will be presenting a free screening of her TED Talk TED Ethology: Primate Visions of the Human Mind at the Orlando Museum of Art on Friday, March 31 at 6 p.m.

The TED Talk is hosted by Fusco in full Planet of the Apes cosplay as Dr. Zira, the evolved-chimpanzee humanoid animal psychologist from the 1960s film. The lecture presents a take on how Dr. Zira would assess our post-industrial society, drawing from primatology, neuroscience, and evolutionary biology to address human aggression and predatory behavior.

This event is free and open to the public, and is presented in collaboration with  the University of Central Florida’s School of Visual Art and Design with support from UCF’s College of Arts and Humanities, The Big Read UCF, Flying Horse Editions and Sunspot Cinema.
