We often get photographs and tips from our Bungalower readers of things that are happening around town, so we have started featuring them on the site in a series called Eyes on the Street, in honor of our favorite urbanist Jane Jacobs.

A couple thousand shoe shoppers descended on Tier Nightlub in Downtown Orlando [GMap] this morning as part of an event, hosted by The Trophy Room (Website).

The star of the event was the KAWS Air Jordan 4, which retails for $350, and just hit the market today. They’re already being sold on eBay for anywhere between $1,500 to $23,000. Local police told Bungalower that some entrepreneurs were hiring homeless individuals to stand in line and save them a space so they could go back and buy more shoes, as a limit was being imposed on the shoppers.

Kaws (Instagram) is the name of the street artist/designer behind the shoe, real name Brian Donnelly. He has also designed for Hennessy and Kanye West.
