The City of Orlando recently held an event called Boards and Brews in the City Hall rotunda where hopeful Board Members could meet with individuals who were already serving on a City Board.

The attendance was remarkable.

All Board applicants are reviewed by the Nominating Board, who held the event. Recommendations are then forwarded to the Mayor, who makes the final appointment, which is confirmed by City Council.

There are currently board vacancies in the following boards; Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (1), Board of Zoning Adjustment (5), Certification Board (3), Chapter 57 Review Board (3), Code Enforcement Board (1), Downtown Development Board (2), Historic Preservation Board (1), Mennello Museum Board of Trustees (1), Municipal Planning Board (5), Nominating Board (4), Vehicle for Hire Appeal Board (1).

You must be an Orlando resident to serve. Click HERE to apply.
