With the construction of the new Parramore K-8 school nearing completion. The City of Orlando will be carrying out major renovations and improvements along the Westmoreland Drive corridor.

The improvements will take place in the general area of the new school, with the goal of making it a safer route for students to bike and walk along.

The project will involve widening the sidewalk along the east side of Westmoreland Drive between Colonial Drive and Miller Street. Other improvements include resurfacing the road, upgrading pedestrian and traffic signals, installing ADA ramps, decorative crosswalks around the school, and expanding crossing guard posts.

The construction of the new multi-use path will cause partial lane closures during the project, which is expected to be completed in August, just in time for the school opening.
