The Central Florida Foundation (Website) has launched a new social enterprise accelerator, to connect early-stage entrepreneurs with the funding, training, and mentorship needed to have sustainable businesses that address community needs.
The new six-month program will be hosted at the Rosen Center at Rollins College and offer a customized program designed by successful business owners and Rollins faculty, and will run twice a year.
Nonprofit organizations and entrepreneurs can apply to the accelerator beginning on June 30. For more information, visit www.cflsea.com. Following the end of each session, participants will give an End of Accelerator pitch, and the winner will receive a minimum $25,000 investment in their project.
Ben Hoyer, of Downtown Credo, has been named as the president and COO of the Social Enterprise Accelerator. This follows the news of Hoyer transitioning his coffee shop from a non-profit to a Benefit Corp. More on that HERE.
