According to multiple sources, Kevin Fonzo, has sold his K Restaurant Wine Bar concept to chef Chad Phelps. K Restaurant and Wine Bar (Facebook | Website) is a popular venue in College Park.
Fonzo told Scott Joseph, HERE, that the decision to sell was meant to honor a request made by his parents before they past away; to sell the space and use the money to support their grandchildren’s education.
Fonzo, a James Beard Foundation Award nominee, had been named the winner of Orlando Weekly‘s BITE Award just the night before he announced the sale.
Fonzo told Fiayaz Kara of the Orlando Weekly that the concept, menu, and name will remain the same, with some renovations being done to the back patio. Read their full report HERE.
