Travel and Leisure has awarded Winter Park’s Alfond Inn (Website) second place in its roundup of the Top 15 City Hotels in the Continental United States.
Hotels were judged on the knowledge of their staff, sense of place, and “a room that feels like an oasis,” as well as facilities, location, service, food, and overall value.
“Cultural capital is the draw in the case
of several of our winners. The Orlando area’s Alfond Inn is a sleek little boutique hotel with a vast collection of contemporary art.”
Other top hotels include the Mandarin Oriental in Las Vegas, Old 77 Hotel and Chandlery in New Orleans, Urban Cowboy in Nashville, and The Surrey in New York which earned top rank.
