One of the cars managed to hop the curb and strike the museum’s iconic trumpeting angel sign and launch it another 10 feet off its’ base.

The accident resulted in one eastbound lane of Princeton being closed. Some injuries were reported but no police report had been filed at the time of this post.

“Two cars went into the lawn and one on the sign. The Police and EMT’s were here and no one was hurt seriously.  Facilities is on the way to remove the destroyed sign.” – Shannon Fitzgerald, director mennello museum of american art
