The City of Orlando is considering an agreement with Atlanta-based Lincoln Church Street, LLC, to cover the costs of new commuter rail station that will be part of a new Downtown development called Tremont Tower.

Lincoln was approved to build a 28-story building adjacent to the Church Street Ballroom, that will feature 180 hotel rooms, 206,600 SF of office, nine floors of parking, and roughly 8,200 SF of ground floor retail space. Lincoln will be building a commuter rail station to serve southbound passengers as part of their ground floor retail presence.

The existing South Street platform would be removed in favor of this new stop, closer to the Church Street station.

If approved during the Monday Commission meeting, the City of Orlando will cover the cost to build the station, not to exceed $1,500,000, and will be paid in three installments of $500,000. All of which is subject to Lincoln meeting their approvals and project thresholds.

The project is being designed by HuntonBrady Architects.
