College Park is down a pizza joint.

NYPD Pizza, the pizza chain known for its “Authentic New York Style Pizza,” according to its website, has closed its location in College Park.

The sign outside the restaurant on Edgewater Drive near Edgewater High School reads “CLOSED.” A handmade sign with the word “CLOSED” written in black marker is taped to the front door, which is chained and pad-locked.

Another sign that reads “No Trespassing” is taped to the front window. All the furniture inside the restaurants has been removed.

It is unclear when the restaurant closed.

A post on the NYPD Pizza College Park Facebook page on August 21 indicated the restaurant was changing its hours of operation. That is the restaurant’s last update on Facebook.

NYPD Pizza operates three other Central Florida locations: Metro West, Winter Garden and in southwest Orlando near the Orange County Convention Center.

Lucky for College Park residents, there’s still pizza at the following places: Domino’s Pizza, Papa John’s Pizza, Ragazzi’s Pizza and Restaurant, Armando’s College Park, Pizza Hut, The Pie Orlando and Tornatore’s Pizzeria.
