Jim Philips, host of the Philips Phile on Real Radio 104.1, announced on air that he would be delaying his retirement. This follows an announcement in June that he would be retiring in January, 2018 after 30 years of hosting. More on that HERE.

According to Philips, iHeart Media made him an offer he couldn’t refuse; to delay his retirement for one more year and in exchange he could have a four-day work week. This changes the schedule of his show from Monday-Thursday.

The move allows the radio station to find the ideal replacement for Philips time slot. ‘Dirty Jim’ from Monsters in the Morning will host his own show 3-7 p.m.
