Work began in the early hours of Wednesday, October 11 to install a rainbow walkway by the Pulse Nightclub site.
The walkway will connect across Esther Street between Pulse and Dunkin’ Donuts.

2,780 signatures? Wow, that’s a lot of support. Cheers to that! But I believe “crosswalk art” is also surrounded by the argument about whether it improves safety or causes a further accidents. Some people believe that the reduced contrast between the pavement and white lines can potentially reduce the crosswalk markings’ effectiveness and pedestrian traffic safety. Others said the purpose of crosswalk art is to catch the attention of drivers and pedestrians and minimize collisions. Still, I appreciate the diversity happening in the community.
