National Sandwich Day #SandwichEatUp at Pom Pom’s Teahouse
On Friday, November 3rd we will be celebrating the King of Meals- The Sandwich, on National Sandwich Day. We will be heading out to 2017 Orlando Weekly’s Best Local sandwich Shop- Pom Pom’s Teahouse & Sandwicheria. We will be there from 7-9 p.m. Friday night. If you have never been you are in for a treat. Their Mama Ling Ling’s Thanksgiving Dinner will get you ready for Thanksgiving.

Movie Night at Leu: Arrival
We will be showing Arrival. Enjoy this outdoor movie in a beautiful garden. Blankets or chairs are recommended. You may bring a dinner picnic basket. Alcohol is permitted. This movie is rated PG13. Under 13 years of age requires accompanying parent or adult guardian. Movie time is at 7:30 pm. Garden Admission: $6 adult, $3 child (5-17 years of age) Admission is collected at the door. The show is the coming-of-age story of an all-American small-town sweetheart named Debbie Benton (Takara Lee Anderson). Debbie is captain of her high-school cheerleading team, but she dreams of making it to the big time by becoming a Texas Cowgirl Cheerleader … a musical ensues.

Fall Fiesta
The 47th Annual Fall Fiesta in the Park returns this November with 250 artist and crafter booths, 35 foodie booths, plenty of community partner booths and sponsors with fun activities, giveaways and games. The event spans the entire park in Downtown Orlando, around Lake Eola and into the streets and is open both Saturday and Sunday from 10am-5pm.
The Festival of Bacon at Lake Baldwin Park

Join the Polasek Museum for its long-running annual festival highlighting Albin Polasek’s Czech heritage while celebrating the immigrant stories of all diverse Americans. Free admission to the museum and gardens includes hands-on art activities for kids and self-guided tours of the Polasek home and gardens.
Free Lecture: Dr. Julian Chambliss, Curator of Art in Odd Places
This presentation by Dr. Julian Chambliss will delve into ideology and practice that inspired AiOP Orlando’s theme of NOISE. With NOISE the co-curators Julian Chambliss and Rachel Simmons sought to explore how Orlando’s evolution over the last decade offers moments of affirmation and dissonance that indicate how much our community demonstrates the full complexity of life in the post-industrial metropolitan community.
