The Ivanhoe Village Main Street will host their iconic sign lighting holiday kick-off event on Friday, November 17 at 6 p.m., as they switch on the OUC historic Happy Holidays/Happy New Year sign.

This is the official signal that the holiday season has begun in Orlando.

The ceremony will take place at the vacant Ivanhoe Buildign at 1111 N. Orange Avenue [GMap] but the best place to see the 8-foot letters is directly across the street in Gaston Edwards Park.

The event will be followed by the annual Jingle Eve event on Saturday, November 18 along Virginia Drive and North Orange Avenue. Click HERE for more information.
