Kick off the holiday season at Lake Eola Park by joining Mayor Dyer for our annual Tree Lighting Celebration. The free event includes the lighting of the 72-foot Christmas tree featuring 88,000 animated lights, music performances and TheDailyCity.com Food Truck Bazaar.
PechaKucha Night is an entertainment event held several times a year in downtown Orlando. Drawing its name from the Japanese term for “chitchat,” PechaKucha rests on a simple idea: 20 images x 20 seconds. It’s a format that makes the presentations concise and keeps things moving at a rapid pace.
A stage manager, headset and prompt book at hand, brings the house lights to half, then dark, and cues the creation of the world. Throughout the play, she’s in control of everything. In other words, she’s either God or she thinks she is. Celebrate your right to imbibe while supporting a great local cause at our Prohibition-themed dinner and whiskey tasting event. The party happens Saturday, December 2nd on the 84th anniversary of the Repeal of Prohibition at the Outpost Neighborhood Kitchen in College Park. 1920’s or 1930’s attire is encouraged, but not required. Your $75 ticket includes whiskey samplings, two drink tickets, a dinner buffet including prime rib and other tasty eats, live funky jazz/blues music, a photobooth with unlimited prints, raffle and more.
Famed international designer Daniel Chimowitz will both be creating live art as well as showcasing his newest line of wearable fashion on December 2nd, 2017. Daniel’s work brings together the gallery art experience with the excitement of the fashion industry. Among the highlighted events will be a live collaboration with local artists Marla E and Crystal Dombrosky as well as an interactive display to highlight individuality. Attendees will learn insight and the latest fashion trends from an industry trent setter.

The 8th annual event offers the best handmade goods by Central Florida artists and craftsmen. Shoppers can expect a variety of jewelry, original art and prints, specialty soaps and scrubs, pottery, herbs, tie die, homemade treats, cat toys and accessories, garden sculpture, hula hoops and more.

Join us for a FREE screening of ALTERNATE ENDINGS, RADICAL BEGINNINGS. The film addresses Black narratives within the ongoing AIDS epidemic and features seven innovative short videos from artists Mykki Blanco, Cheryl Dunye & Ellen Spiro, Reina Gossett, Thomas Allen Harris, Kia Labeija, Tiona Nekkia McClodden, and Brontez Purnell.
This is a family-friendly event featuring face painting, live wreath making, stilt walkers, train rides, princesses, bounce houses, ornament making, and so much more.
Sounds of the Season is a holiday concert that will bring everyone together for an afternoon picnic accompanied by an array of holiday classical pieces to celebrate the season. The performance led by FSYO’s Symphonic Orchestra will feature a partnership with Orlando Ballet School, a soloist from UCF Opera, and singers from Montverde Academy and Central Florida Vocal Arts. As always, academic and music educators receive complimentary admission to this and all FSYO Season Subscription concerts.
