Plans were approved for Wall Street’s off-campus venture, Tubbs Brewing, in November 2016. The concept would take hold in a 1925-built warehouse in Parramore at 617 W. Central Avenue [GMap], with an outside bar and entertainment area.

The project was scaled down the subsequent year to a series of pop-ups called The Yard, which operated as an outdoor bar and food truck space, which made no use of the actual building.

The Wall Street team has submitted plans that suggest a departure from the original ambitious plans and suggest that they have since embraced the original storefront facade and will instead simply add a series of windows and glazing to rejuvenate it, rather than replace it outright. The plans suggest a departure from the name Tubbs Brewing in favor of a new name, “Big Squeeze.”

Central Avenue recently re-opened to public traffic after a lengthy resurfacing project.

No timeline has been announced for this project.
