NYPD Pizza closed their College Park location in September, 2017 and we covered it HERE. The new tenant for the 2,600 SF+ building will be Cafe Linger (Facebook | Website) a concept fronted by seasoned food and beverage pair Michael Brito and Christina Gribkowsky.
Brito and Gribkowsky told Bungalower that they were hoping to embrace an older coffee culture where their guests can sit and enjoy their product in a more relaxed atmosphere with couches, book shelves, and even a piano.
The space is currently being renovated to have a more open kitchen and according to Gribkowsky, “brighten everything” with a modern vibe.
Cafe Linger is currently working with the Coffee Roaster Alliance (Website) to have in-house blends as well as some other tasty roasts. They will also have coffee infused drinks like lemonades and iced teas as well.
The menu will feature baked goods and small plates that the pair will be making in-house with items like ricotta pancakes, waffles, and pastries.
Cafe Linger is expected to open in spring 2018.
