This time last year we discovered one of our favorite local Instagram accounts. OrlandoIsSleeping (Instagram).
Created by a talented ICU nurse, Ashley (last name withheld, because privacy), who took to photography as a way to chill out post-shift work, the Instagram has gathered nearly 4,000 followers in just under a year.
Ashley takes photographs of the City Beautiful in the wee hours of the morning when everyone is, well, asleep. Scroll down to see for yourself.
Nora’s Sugar Shack in Ivanhoe Village will be hosting some of Ashley’s work at an upcoming Mini Pop-up Art Show on January 16 from 5-7 p.m. This is her first art show and Orlando’s first chance to take home one of her beautiful images in a format that’s larger than their smart phone.
