The class will share how to create their own piece using “domestically raised, naturally-deceased rats.” Students will learn proper skinning, fleshing, degreasing, and preservation techniques to sculpt a custom taxidermy sculpture.
The event page on Facebook says that all rats were sourced “humanely and sustainably – nothing is killed for the sake of this class.”
Tickets to the workshop were $150 per person which included all materials needed to create a custom rat taxidermy piece. Tickets have already sold out but there will be more in the near future. You can keep an eye open for any spaces that may open up by clicking HERE.
